C oldTowne's Youth Program, Excused Absence Comedy, is delighted to bring back our weekly Improv shows for kids and families! Opening in March '23, Story Starts is a fully improvised, interactive, original comedy performed by our adult cast with the help of our audience. Using your suggestions and inviting volunteers to join us onstage as characters, objects, and sound effects, we create a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience. Silly, high energy, and hilarious in the most unexpected ways, the story can go in a million directions and every one of them is a surprise! Performed by some of Austin's most beloved adult Improvisers, shows are crafted to engage, empower and entertain. Recommended for kids 4 and up, audience members can feel free to enjoy the show by taking part through suggestions & volunteering, or by watching from their seats.
